Only two couples are still standing from the 2017 series – three if we’re including Chris and Kem – with both Dom and Jess and Camilla and Jamie still going strong. And, if we’re honest, who’d have thought it?
Obviously we’re desperate to know which remaining couples, Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel, Alex George and Alexandra Cane, Wes Nelson and Megan Barton, have actually got a future ahead of them once the teeth whitening deals have dried up so Metro.co.uk have turned to We-Vibe relationship expert and psychologist, Dr Becky Spelman to find out.
LAURA & PAUL
This type of reassurance seeking is coming off as too much too soon and it’s pushing Paul away.
JACK & DANI
This is a strong couple who are able to communicate effectively enough to stay together in the long-term.
KAZ & JOSH
Their relationship is very protected in the Love Island villa as neither of them fancy anyone else more than they do each other, and so there are no real challenges or jealousy triggers.
When they do leave the villa and enter the real world with real life challenges, Josh could start to see Kaz in a very different way which in turn could lead to the ruin of the relationship.
ALEX & ALEXANDRA
Alexandra, he’s just not that into you, apparently (Picture: ITV)
Unfortunately this appears to be a case of Alex just not being that into her. She does feel this and her insecurities in their relationship as a result of Alex not working for her or showing strong feelings of attraction to the relationship.
Alexandra is not displaying insecurities in herself, rather insecurities in the relationship as Alex is treating her as someone who is an option and not someone who is really special.
The fact that he doesn’t take steps to make her feel special will mean this relationship will end quite quickly.
WES & MEGAN
Megan is showing signs of insecurity towards her line of work and making up stories of not being accepted because of that. No matter the amount of reassurance Wes gives her she is not quite comfortable and at ease with this just yet. However, once they leave the villa and enter the real world and she meets Wes’ parents, she will see that everything is fine and her insecurities will be put to rest.
They may not be together forever, but there is definitely longevity in the relationship.
So there we have it – great news for favourites Jack and Dani, but what abut Josh and Kaz?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
