Love Island suffered its first emotional moment last night when Joe Garratt had his last moments with Lucie Donlan before she was eagerly snapped up by new boy Tommy Fury.
Imagine going through all that, only to be upstaged by a fly.
Yup – the Mallorca bugs are well and truly out for some screen time on series five of the ITV2 love reality show, and snuck into surfer babe Lucie’s hair as she tried to spend time with her potential fella.
As Joe revealed his intent to stick with her throughout the journey, and worried about their future as Curtis and Tommy’s steals loomed over their evening, Lucie admitted that she didn’t want Tommy to pick her.
Knowing full well that he was probably going to, the thought was clearly already tearing Joe apart as he considered getting split up from her.
(….It’s been 24 hours guys. Hold your horses Romeo and Juliet).
But as they made their grand gestures, and shared a snog in front of Tommy in a bid to cement their status as officially coupled up, a fly was seen going for a wander round Lucie’s blonde tresses.
Maybe the fly was in cahoots with Tommy? Who ended up going for Lucie anyway.
Obviously, you can rely on Love Island fans to immediately notice it – and take to Twitter about it.
Following last night’s recoupling both Joe and Tommy have some grafting to do in order to win the Newquay native’s heart.
Lucie has already proven to be the most sought-after girl in the villa, pairing up with Michael in the first coupling up session before ditching him and choosing Joe instead.
Though considering they hadn’t even been together five minutes, Michael took it pretty well, with a shrug and an ‘it is what it is’.
However, that didn’t stop Anton, who was paired up with Amy, to make his moves on her later in the day anyway.
Unfortunately for him, he got pied almost immediately, definitely proving his banter isn’t as fun as his original video made it appear.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
