It’s coming up to that time again when the infamous Casa Amor is set to return to this winter’s series of Love Island.
Casa Amor was introduced to the TV programme format in 2017 and proved such a success in shaking things up, it became a regular feature.
Half of the Islanders will be sent off to a second villa, where they’ll be tempted by fresh islanders looking to ruffle some feathers.
There’s sure to be plenty of drama on the way, so here’s everything you need to know about Casa Amor.
What is Casa Amor?
Casa Amor is the second villa, where the Love Island boys will be sent to meet a host of sexy new singletons.
It looks like they’ll be living in the lap of luxury, with a brand-new area for the contestants to explore called the Lookout of Love.
Meanwhile, six new boys will join the Love Island girls in the original villa.
What does Casa Amor mean in English?
Although Casa Amor may seem synonymous for ‘drama’ when it comes to the show, that’s not actually its meaning.
In Spanish, Casa Amor means Love House, and it was likely called this since the islanders go their both to find love and have their existing love tested.
How long do Islanders stay there?
It hasn’t been confirmed how long the contestants will remain in Casa Amor.
However, typically it’s a four day trip, and it’s likely everyone will have to decide whether to stay in their partnerships or recouple – and we know how entertaining that can be.
Who are the current Love Island couples?
Currently the happy couples in the villa are Callum Jones and Shaughna Phillips, Finley Tapp and Paige Turley, Nas Majeed and Demi Jones, Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge, and Luke Mabbott and Jess Gale.
