Sometimes life is just plain unfair and this summer, for six reality TV hopefuls, the alluring promise of Spanish sunshine, muggy romance and catchphrases about ham and cheese melts was over before it even began.
They didn’t get to unpack all of their elaborate, embellished swimwear choices. They didn’t get to stay in Spain long enough to go lower than Factor 30. Did they actually even get a personalised water bottle? Because if not, then the whole thing was a waste of time.
