New dad Jack Fincham is slowly getting back into the daily routine after dropping the surprise bombshell that his baby daughter was born at the weekend.

The former Love Island winner posted the news that he and NHS worker Casey Ranger had welcomed their daughter, Blossom Fincham, into the world on Friday 24 January.

And today the new dad has been spotted in workout clothes returning home to his little one after a workout session.

While Jack and Casey are no longer together, Jack explained that they plan to co-parent their daughter.

It couldn’t be more obvious just how over the moon Jack is.

The 28-year-old shared an adorable photo on Instagram of him holding Blossom’s hand, calling her a ‘little beauty’.

‘Blossoms little hand. She held my thumb for ages, good night from this little beauty,’ he wrote.

Stop this is too cute.

Jack decided to wait until Blossom was born to share his incredible news with everyone – which came as a shock as noone knew he was even about to be a dad.

Posting a picture with him holding his daughter, he wrote: ‘I’m normally a very open book and share most of my life on my social media. This blessing I chose not to. I’m just a normal geeza, who went on a tv show, which throws you straight into the public eye…which I will forever be grateful for.

‘However I knew for myself I needed personal time and to keep this part of my life private to prepare for this new responsibility and part of me that will change my life forever.

‘This is undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me and it’s true what they say, the instant feeling of love and connection you have with your child is a feeling like no other.

‘I want to thank my family and friends for your continued support, also to my little girls mother, who has been totally AMAZING throughout. Although we are not together we are great friends as we have been for many years and our priority is co-parenting our beautiful baby girl.

‘Both mum and baby are doing great.

‘I am now a proud dad to a healthy baby girl Blossom Fincham born 8lb 2oz on 24th January 2020.’

Jack shared on Sunday how he had a ‘whirlwind romance’ with Casey after he split from Dani Dyer, who he won Love Island 2018 with.

Love Island’s Sophie Piper ‘needs to ditch infantile displays’ to survive without Connor Durman

Sophie and Connor in Love Island
Sophie and Connor were not pleased as they were voted the public’s least favourite couple (Picture: Rex)

Love Island’s Sophie Piper is a single pringle once more now that Connor Durman has been given his marching orders from the villa – and it’s time for her to come up with a new gameplan.

After being voted as part of the public’s least favourite couple, Sophie’s face said it all as she was left vulnerable next to her other half Connor.

Saved by the skin of her teeth thanks to the rest of the islanders, who made the final vote, Sophie now has to rethink what she’s been up to – starting with behaving more like an adult, according to body language expert, Judi James.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she said: ‘It’s very likely with her “fame by association” sibling links that Sophie will have expected to be popular with the viewers, while her giggly, pseudo-infantile displays (like when she admitted to lying to Connaugh) should have been an attempt to make her seem sweet and unpretentious enough to also be popular inside the villa.

‘Her determination to stick with Connor looked based on either an assumption that he was the cheeky chappie guy who would be her ideal match for a win, or naivite bordering on the daft.’

Sophie Piper - Love Island
Sophie needs to change her game plan if she’s to stay (Picture: ITV)

However, while that might be the case, Judi says that Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie at least got some of her on analysis on the right path.

‘She was probably right if she guessed guys like Connaugh and Rebecca rarely win or even have a long shelf life in there as they are too beautiful to connect with the viewers,’ Judi explained.

‘But she now needs a guy with both personality and likeability to show her to best advantage.’

Love Island
Sophie later cried with Shaughna after Connor’s exit (Picture: ITV)

So what’s the best plan of action?

Judi told us: ‘I think there’s more to Sophie anyway and I’d love her to reveal the assertive woman we saw taking Mike to shreds twice after meddling with Connaugh.

‘Less of the giggly Sophie and more of the brain would be good, but I think she’ll be confused now and need time to re-group.

Love Island
The girls rallied around her (Picture: ITV)

‘She’ll be worried she’ll look disloyal if she pairs up quickly but spending the next few days in “mourning” will clearly be pointless too.’

Thankfully, Judi reckons the Love Island Gods (aka the producers and casting team) will have her back in her time of crisis.

‘She must be good for viewing figures so I’d expect the show to be sending in some tasty guy morsels in to tempt her quite soon,’ she said.

‘She’ll be suffering though if she’s done anything daft like declared undying loyalty to Connor as he leaves.’

Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island’s Connor Durman is the latest contestant to leave the villa.

The 25-year-old, who has been coupled up with Sophie Piper, was up for elimination alongside his other half after the pair earned the fewest public votes.

He is the fourth contestant to leave from the show this series, after Eva Gale and Connagh Howard got dumped and Ollie Williams quit a few days in.

Islanders were shown deliberating over who to get rid of, with Paige saying: ‘Either way the villa loses.’ as Siânnise added: ‘We need to make the right decision for the right reasons.’

Then Mike had to present the group’s decision at the fire pit.

‘This has been a really hard decision for us because we love both Connor and Sophie not just as friends but as family, and seeing them go would be a massive blow to all of us,’ Mike said.

‘We’ve decided to save this Islander [Sophie] because they’re an amazing person and they bring a lot of energy to the villa.’

Laura Whitmore then broke to Connor that he had just 30 minutes to pack up and go.

After hearing the news, a tearful Sophie told Connor: ‘I don’t know what to do,’ to which Connor replied: ‘I just want you to be happy,’ adding ‘only you know what’s right.’

She ultimately decided to stay.

Leaving, Connor said: ‘Leaving the villa without Sophie is not nice. But I just want her to be happy and follow her heart, whatever that means, if she was to meet someone or wait for me, we’ll see what happens.’

Love Island Sophie
Sophie got upset after Connor’s exit (Picture: ITV2)

Later that evening, Sophie broke down in tears and said: ‘I feel like I should have left with him. I don’t think I’m going to meet anyone else in here.’

Fans took to social media to express their shock at the coffee bean salesman’s exit – and Sophie’s reaction after he hinted he wanted her to go with him.

Mainly, that they’re not buying Sophie feeling sad about him leaving.

Fortunately for Sophie, it seems that there is a new hope on the horizon with new boy Wallace being picked for a date.

Connor’s departure comes just before the arrival of two new Islanders: Demi Jones, a 21-year-old style adviser from Portsmouth, and Wallace Wilson, a 24-year-old personal trainer from Inverness.

Each have chosen three other islanders to cook for them – one a starter, one a main, and one a dessert.

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island’s Connor Durman vows to wait for Sophie Piper after being dumped without her

Connor has said he’ll wait for villa love Sophie (Picture: ITV)

Love Island’s Connor Durman has vowed to wait for Sophie Piper after the couple were cruelly torn apart in the show’s latest twist.

Host Laura Whitmore revealed that Connor and Sophie had received the fewest votes from the public in yesterday’s episode, and that it was down to the Islanders to send one of them home.

Mike Boateng revealed it was Connor that the Islanders were dumping, but the 25-year-old coffee bean salesman from Brighton hopes to rekindle their romance on the outside – if Sophie doesn’t put all of her eggs in somebody else’s basket, that is.

‘I will wait for her. I’m in no rush to meet someone else,’ he said following his exit.

‘We definitely had that instant chemistry when we first met. I did have butterflies, she made me a bit nervous and that was a good nervous, obviously I really liked her. I haven’t had that for ages.’

Connor also said that he predicted that he would be sent home because his fellow Islanders knew he wouldn’t have fallen for anyone else on the show – which was exactly the reasons he was given.

And if Sophie – sister to This Morning’s Rochelle Humes – did happen to move on, Connor said he wouldn’t hold a grudge.

Connor Sophie
Sophie was picked to stay over Connor in the latest dumping (Picture: ITV)

‘It’s still early on in the villa. Her head could be turned. I want her to enjoy the experience. It’s a once in a lifetime thing. I wouldn’t have any grudges against her. I do just want her to be happy,’ he said.

On whether he wished she had left with him, he continued: ‘I wouldn’t want her second guessing things and regretting anything. Whatever she does, I’m happy for her.’

Will Sophie put her eggs in somebody else’s basket? (Picture: ITV)

In the final moments of his time on the show, it appeared that Connor gave Sophie the option to come with – and while she refused, she broke down crying to Shaughna once she was gone.

Connor only had encouraging sentiments for Sophie too, saying: ‘I’d [tell Sophie] say, “Follow your heart and I want you to be happy, and just enjoy the ride”. Whatever happens, happens. And if we end up meeting up, let’s just see what happens. I just want her to be happy, really.’

And on the couple he’d most like to win, he added: ‘I want Callum and Shaughna to win. I honestly don’t think anyone’s playing a game.’

Love Island continues weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.

Nas has finally got a break! (Picture: ITV)

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for on Love Island – as Nas has finally caught a break and been asked out on a date.

Yes guys! It’s officially happened.

Getting a string of mysterious texts throughout the day, three guys and three girls were asked to create a starter, main and dessert for the two new arrivals.

As Finlay was asked to prepare new girl Demi the starter, and Luke M was told to create the main course, the entire villa (and UK) erupted when Nas was told to make the dessert.

Callum even scooped his pal up in his arms in excitement as the rest of the gang cheered for the unlucky-in-love pal, who has only been in friendship couples for the past two weeks.

LoveIsland
The gang were delighted their pal were finally given a break (Picture: ITV)

The rest of the gang rallied around Nas as he took in everything they taught him to put his best foot forward with the redhead.

In the meantime, Demi arrived alongside another bombshell, a new boy named Wallace – who Paige was immediately delighted to discover was a fellow Scotsman.

As he finally heard that text chirp sound, the nation was behind him as well for finally catching a break

Now he’s just got to get himself together and remember all the lessons the team have taught him.

Viewers will see the result tomorrow night.

But it seems that Demi already seems to have eyes for Nas, declaring she ‘just wanted to squeeze him’ as she said: ‘I think he’s so lovely. I’ve just had my fair share of boys that have messed me about.’

Things get messy in more ways than one on Love Island (Picture: ITV)

Love Island has reached day 16 and just when the gang thing they’ve got a handle on what’s going on, Laura Whitmore comes and pulls the rug from under them.

Now, they’re an original now, a double bombshell incoming, and couples who seemed pretty solid suddenly falling apart at the seams.

It’s a lot to keep up with, so you’ll be forgiven if you need a bit of a catch up to see what’s been going down in South Africa.

Here’s everything you might have missed on Monday night’s show…

Sophie and Connor in Love Island

Decision Time

After being voted the least favourite couple by the public, Laura Whitmore revealed that either Sophie or Connor had to leave the villa – and it was up to the islanders to decide.

Gathering together, they eventually come down to a majority vote – with Mike making the announcement.

In an intense and brutal dumping, he announces that they’ve chosen to save Sophie, and Connor was sent packing.

‘We have decided to save this islander because they are an amazing person, they bring a lot of positive energy to the villa, we feel like if they were to stay they would make the most of the opportunity,’ Mike explained.

Given just 30 minutes to say his goodbyes, Connor went out quietly – leaving Callum devastated.

Connor has since vowed to stand by her while she stays in the villa… but is she feeling the same?

Love Island's Leanne Amaning
Love Island’s Leanne Amaning is having doubts (Picture: ITV)

Is Meanne Over?

As the sudden exit leaves the islanders reeling, Leanne Amaning admits that it’s given her a ‘kick up the bum’ – and that’s not a good sign for her other half, Mike.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, she confessed: ‘Tonight has really kicked me up the bum and shown me that you can go home at any minute. I think it’s really put a lot of things in perspective.’

Admitting that after seeing Connor’s exit, she realised she wouldn’t have left with Mike, Leanne confided in Nas who encouraged her to talk to her beau.

While she didn’t do it this episode, it’s clear things are coming to an end at a pretty rapid pace.

Grossest challenge ever?

We’ll never not find a challenge that involves passing runny food to people via their mouths grim – and yet here we are watching it again.

Getting Trollied allowed Rebecca to share a smooth with Luke Trotman in front of Siânnise, but it landed flat seeing as her mouth is full of baked beans.

We’re with Paige Turley here, who was gagging the entire time because it was next level grim.

Literally. Vom.

Double Bubble Bombshell

What’s the end of a Love Island episode without a little twist?

Demi and Wallace are the latest newest members of the villa, and made their slow-mo walk into the compound in style at the end of tonight’s drama.

And it’s the classic three-meal speed date that introduced us to Maura Higgins last year.

Each have chosen three other islanders to cook for them – one a starter, one a main, and one a dessert.

Wallace chose Siannise, Paige and Sophie (who seemed pretty buzzing for her new date), while Demi picked Finlay, Luke M and Nas.

Yup – our boy Nas finally got a date!

Are we they going to get heads turning after a dramatic 24 hours, even by LI standards?

Only one way to find out…

Love Island‘s Paige Turley was thrown into a bit of a spin as fella Finlay Tapp was picked by new girl Demi Jones for a date.

Demi, alongside fellow bombshell Wallace Wilson, arrived in the villa just a day after Sophie Piper‘s other half Connor Durham bid farewell. .

The newcomers came on board with a cooking-date challenge for the Islanders – three courses with three people for three speed dates.

Siannise was picked by Wallace to make his starter, while he selected Paige to make his main course and Sophie was selected to prepare dessert.

Demi picked Finn to make the starter, Luke M to make the main course and Nas to make her dessert.

Despite getting a date herself – and being visibly buzzing that Wallace was Scottish, things soon turned sour when she was forced to watch Finn’s date with Demi.

Love island
Finn looked like he was enjoying himself (Picture: ITV2)

As he served Demi up prawns and mushrooms on toast (oh the glamour) – Paige was left in the kitchen, literally holding the wooden spoon she would stir herself up with.

Working herself up into a lather, it was up to Nas (who had finally managed to land a date – yay!) to talk her down.

Sophie didn’t help matters by trying and failing to overhear the conversation, making Paige feel worse when she said Demi had called Finn ‘fit’ when she hadn’t.

The whole exchange went down a treat on social media – as fans lapped up the hilarious display of jealousy.

Demi and Wallace’s meetings with the other contestants weren’t screened, so we’ll have to tune in tomorrow to see how they went.

Which means we’ll finally get to see Nas have an opportunity to win someone’s heart!

Love Island‘s Leanne Amaning went off on one and slammed her romance with Mike Boateng to the girls in a brutal first look at tomorrow’s show.

Leanne, 22, and Mike, 24, have been coupled up for the last few weeks – but it looks like not for much longer.

Previewing a scene that will be aired in full tomorrow [Tuesday 28 January 2020], Leanne can be heard sharing her doubts about Mike to some of the girls – and getting more and more wound up.

This isn’t looking good.

‘I just feel like I’ve got the ick,’ Leanne told Jess and Sophie.

‘I don’t have it in me,’ she added. ‘I don’t want to be around him.’

She then continued – with steadily increasing force: ‘I don’t want him to touch me. I don’t want him to kiss me.’

Shocked by the departure of Connor earlier in the episode, a stressed Leanne told some of her fellow Islanders: ‘I’m not wasting any more time.

‘I’m not. If I’m not feeling something, I’m not feeling something.’

In the beach hut, she added: ‘Tonight has really kicked me up the bum and shown me that you can go home at any minute. I think it’s really put a lot of things in perspective.’

As well as Sophie getting picked to stay over Connor, tonight’s episode also saw the arrival of two new Islanders, Wallace and Demi, who we saw embark on dates with Finn and Siânnise.

If we had a pound for every time someone on Love Island was accused of being a cheating love rat/snake, we’d probably have as much as the show’s cash prize. Quadrupled.

The latest Islander to get caught up in accusations of cheating is Luke Mabbot, who has been branded a ‘lying rat’ by model Chloe Ephraim for leading her on for five years.

He apparently even invited her to stay at his mere days before he entered the villa – and ‘forgot’ to tell her he was going in.

The 24-year-old student said she ‘felt sick’ since she found out where the Justin Bieber lookalike was, telling The Sun: ‘I was speaking to him four days before he appeared on the show.

‘He started pursuing me again just after Christmas and he must have known that he was going on the show then. He didn’t say anything.’

‘He just led me on and I was planning to go stay with him for the whole weekend,’ she added.

Chloe introduced herself to Luke M after she thought he was the real Justin Bieber while on holiday five years ago, and she says the pair have been sending each other explicit messages ever since.

Chloe said she didn’t think he was a player until ‘he used to send me intimate photos which already had captions on that he must have sent to other girls’.

She added she thought that something was going to happen between them as they kept in touch for so long, and suggested it was distance keeping them apart.

Since Luke entered the villa with fellow bombshell Luke Trotman, he’s hit it off with 20-year-old Jess Gale, who coupled up with him last week.

A Love Island spokesperson affirmed to The Sun: ‘Luke was single when he entered the villa’

All-American girl Lena Dunham lived in Wales last year while filming her new series Industry.

And while in the valleys, she fell in love with a British institution. Not crumpets, not pie and mash, but Holly Willoughby on morning television.

The Girls actress has professed her love for This Morning and Holly, calling her a ‘rad chick’.

Apparently Lena, 33, has been getting her mid-morning fix of celebrity gossip and lifestyle news from ITV, as she told Cosmopolitan UK: ‘I turn on This Morning and I just love watching her. It’s like the greatest hug from the television.

‘I like that she’s funny, she’s real, and she’ll tear up if something makes her emotional, she’ll laugh really hard, and she’ll talk about getting drunk. She’s just a rad chick.’

A glowing endorsement.

We wonder if Lena has discovered the wonders of Dancing On Ice yet – considering it features not only Holly hosting alongside Phillip Schofield, but her other ITV obsession, Maura Higgins.

Last summer, Lena became obsessed with the Irish reality star when she appeared on Love Island, tweeting: ‘For you folks in the UK who are binging on @LoveIsland like me, like Maura, I want a partner who can match me, not a coward who thinks I’m OTT, cringey and an attention seeker! Team Maura!’

We think Lena would really love Dancing On Ice at the minute (Picture: REX )

The writer elaborated on her love for the queen of fanny flutters in an article for the Guardian, writing: ‘Maura. What can I say about Maura. She’s fun. She’s feisty. She’s so Irish that the word “mouth” becomes a clipped battle cry: “Mout! He kissed me right on da mout!” But as fun as Maura is when she’s fun, she can also be duplicitous and rageful.

‘She went from telling Amy, “He tusn’t love ya! He tusn’t!” to noticing Curtis’ “manliness” with the cheeky grin of a child who has peeked under the Christmas wrapping.

‘We’ve all had that friend, the one who is so all-encompassing when their lovelight is on you that you can’t help but feel you’ve been divinely selected.’

Lena Dunham
Lena got candid (Picture: Cosmopolitan UK/Matthew Eades)

And although Dunham is taking a hiatus from dating, she would totally consider making her way into the villa.

She told Cosmo: ‘If someone came up to me and they were sweet and asked me to dinner at a pub, or whatever you people do in England, I’d be like, “Yeah, totally”.

‘Or if they brought Celebrity Love Island back, I would be so tempted.’

We’re gonna need this series revived ASAP.

Lena’s full interview is available in the new issue of Cosmppolitan UK, out 30 January.

Love Island’s Sophie Piper and Connor Durman were split up last night after islanders had to choose which one of them to send home.

They were in the firing line after being voted the least popular couple by the public.

Newcomers Luke M and Luke T were exempt from the vote, as were their partners Jess Gale and Rebecca Gormley.

So, who did the islanders vote to spare, and who left Love Island yesterday?

Who was dumped from Love Island yesterday?

The couples voted for Connor to leave, and for Sophie to stay, believing she would get more out of the experience.

Delivering the news, Mike Boateng said:  ‘We have decided to save this islander because they are an amazing person, they bring a lot of positive energy to the villa, we feel like if they were to stay they would make the most of the opportunity.’

Connor left alone while Sophie shed some (barely, if at all, visible) tears.

The 25-year-old coffee bean salesman said he will ‘wait’ for Sophie and attempt to rekindle their romance on the outside.

He said: ‘We definitely had that instant chemistry when we first met. I did have butterflies, she made me a bit nervous and that was a good nervous, obviously, I really liked her. I haven’t had that for ages.

Love Island's Sophie Piper
Sophie was seen crying after Shaughna left – but not everyone was convinced her tears were real (Picture: ITV)

‘Her head could be turned. I want her to enjoy the experience. It’s a once in a lifetime thing. I wouldn’t have any grudges against her. I do just want her to be happy,’ he continued.

We hope they work out but experience tells us that most couples don’t make it past this stage… (We’re looking at you, Lucie and Joe and Michael and Joanna).

The islanders didn’t have long to mourn Connor’s departure before two new bombshells arrived, promising to shake things up.

Demi Jones and Wallace Wilson entered the villa towards the end of the episode and picked their top three crushes to have dinner with this evening.

Wallace chose Siannise Fudge, Paige Turley, and newly-single Sophie, while Demi picked Finley Tapp, Luke Mabbott and Nas Majeed.

Will Wallace turn Paige’s head? (Picture: ITV)

There’s trouble in paradise for Love Island’s Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, following the arrival of two new bombshells, Wallace Wilson and Demi Jones.

Demi chose Fin to make a starter for their date in Monday night’s episode, while Paige was picked by Wallace to make his dessert.

The date in question is, of course, the famous cooking-date challenge where the new islanders get to eat three courses, cooked by three different people.

Paige was visibly buzzing when she discovered Wallace was Scottish, but her excitement was quelled when she had to watch Finn go on a date with Demi.

To be honest, with a name like that, we didn’t even need to hear Wallace’s voice to know he’s from Scotland. But… just where is that accent from?

Where is Love Island’s new boy Wallace from?

Wallace Wilson's Love Island promo picture
New arrival Wallace is a personal trainer from Scotland (Picture: ITV)

Wallace, 24, hails from Glasgow in Scotland, however he moved from his home city to Inverness, where he lives now.

Inverness is on Scotland’s northeast coast and is the largest city in the Scottish Highlands.

That’s about three hours’ drive away from Paige’s home town in West Lothian, in case you were wondering.

He’s a personal trainer who is looking for someone ‘ambitious, athletic and confident’ in the villa.

He shares the same celebrity crush as Callum Jones – Megan Fox, and has his eye on Paige, Siannise, and Sophie.

Who will charm him with their culinary skills and will he and Paige bond over more than just their accent?

Tune in tonight to find out.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Kerry Katona jokes she’s all for daughters going on Love Island so they can get rich and we can’t fault her logic

Kerry Katona and daughter Lilly
Kerry has joked if her daughters go on Love Island they can buy her a house

Kerry Katona has had a giggle at the idea of her daughters going on Love Island, joking it’s a way for them to make a fortune and buy her a house.

We’re hardly going to fault her logic – although she insisted it was a joke, she’s right on the money there. Pun most definitely intended.

Seeing as some Love Islanders in the past have made an absolute mint from their time on the ITV2 show, no less the £50,000 winners’ cheque, who wouldn’t want to give it a go if it meant you’d be set in regards to a brimming bank account?

Writing in her latest column for New magazine, Kerry was responding to Zoe Ball’s admission she’d ‘disown’ her son Woody if he went on the show, even though he was a star on The Circle last year.

Kerry shares Lilly with former husband Brian McFadden (Picture: Instagram)

‘I was quite shocked when I read that, because it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest if my Molly or Lilly wanted to give it a go,’ she wrote. ‘I’d actively encourage it, in fact.’

She continued: ‘Get on the telly, make a fortune and buy me a house please, girls!’

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByUihRwodpe/

Kerry, who shares Molly, 18, and Lilly, 16, with former husband Brian McFadden, said that, to her, reality shows are an opportunity for ‘great experiences’ and that they ‘are what you make them’.

Still, she joked she’d kill her daughters if they had sex on the telly.

Fair play.

Kerry seems to be walking on sunshine at the minute, after revealing her confidence is ‘through the roof’ after taking on a healthier lifestyle.

The singer explained to the Daily Star that she’s feeling incredible in her own body, adding: ‘I feel the healthiest I have been in the longest time.’

At the beginning of the year, Kerry, who recently spoke out about her ‘rocky’ year, discovered a passion for yoga, with the star also saying she’d given up drinking.

The 39-year-old’s also been sharing her newfound confidence online, snapping photos of herself stripped down to her underwear.

Which isn’t so far from a bikini.

Are you thinking what we’re thinking?

Maybe Kerry needs to forget the daughters and lobby for her own appearance on Love Island, eh?

Love Island’s Leanne Amaning dumps Mike Boateng for night in The Dog House

Love Island spoilers have revealed that Leanne Amaning chooses to sleep in The Dog House tonight after revealing that she’s got ‘the ick’ for beau Mike Boateng.

In scenes that aired at the end of last night’s episode, the contestant confessed in a savage rant to the girls that she’s been having doubts about her man and now it looks like she’s going to call it a day.

After Sophie Piper urges Leanne to pull Mike for a chat to discuss her feelings, it’s been spilled that Leanne then opts to sleep in The Dog House rather than hopping into her shared double.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, pictures show Mike and Leanne have a rather tense-looking conversation around the fire pit.

Is it completely game over for these two, or will they somehow be able to kiss and make up?

Last night’s preview saw Leanne, 22, going in about her lack of interest in Mike – and got more and more wound up as she continued ranting.

‘I just feel like I’ve got the ick,’ she told Jess Gale and Sophie. ‘I don’t have it in me.

‘I don’t want to be around him. I don’t want him.’

Leanne’s comments come just days after she and Mike both revealed they were having doubts about one another.

‘I can’t really read you,’ Mike told her. ‘I don’t know if I’m doing the right things…’

The pair aired their feelings on the day beds and ended their conversation, not by sharing a sweet kiss or peck on the cheek, but with a high five.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island is about to kick off as Luke Trotman dumps Rebecca Gormley because Siânnise Fudge has been on a date with new boy Wallace Wilson and now he’s caught feels.

While he wasn’t quite taken in with Siânnise’s riveting chat, the moment another guy whisked her off her feet was the final straw for Luke and he’s now officially pied off Rebecca for the queen of the meme.

After Siânnise returns from her date with Wallace, Luke is visibly unnerved during tonight’s nail-biting episode.

‘It’s just bad timing,’ he sulks. ‘I was sort of ready to make a decision, just to sort of let Rebecca know that I was leaning more towards you. I’m ready to give 100 percent to one person.’

And after rowing with Siânnise all week, Rebecca is, understandably, livid.

‘I know what I want and being second best is not what I’ve come in the villa for. I just need to know what the crack is,’ she vents in the Beach Hut.

And continuing to vent to Leanne Amaning, who finally breaks it off with Mike Boateng, she goes on: ‘When me and Siânnise spoke, it was all about ‘girl code this, girl code that’ and “You should have been straight, if you’d made her aware”.

‘She’s not making me aware about it now… I feel like I’m being taken for a mug.’

Winter Love Island trailer (Picture: ITV)
Caroline stepped down as Love Island host (Picture: ITV)

Caroline Flack has broken her social media silence to wish the cast of Love Island luck ahead of tonight’s National Television Awards.

The host stepped down from hosting the winter series of the much-loved reality show after being charged and awaiting trial for assault by beating during an altercation with boyfriend Lewis Burton in December.

After stepping back from social media completely and being banned from contact with Burton, Caroline has written on Instagram to send her thoughts to the Love Island team, which is now fronted by Laura Whitmore.

She wrote: ‘Good luck to all the team and cast at tonight’s NTAs… it’s such a fun night… cmon Love Island.’

Love Island is up for the Challenge Show award at tonight’s swanky event – going up against the Great British Bake Off, MasterChef, The Circle and The Apprentice.

Her reappearance comes after she landed back in the UK after spending time in Los Angeles to get away in the aftermath of the assault charge.

It’s claimed that Caroline is supposedly planning to return to Love Island should the case be dismissed – reinventing her party girl image in the eyes of the public across 2020.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges at the end of December at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court, where it was claimed she hit Lewis over the head with a lamp while he was sleeping after finding messages from other girls on his phone.

Caroline’s case is due to be heard in March.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island fans have taken to social media to slam Leanne Amaning over her bitchy comments about Mike Boateng as she exclaimed ‘everything he does actually annoys me.’

In a first-look clip of Tuesday night’s Love Island, Leanne confides in Sophie Piper and Jess Gale about how she really feels about Mike and it turns out she has the ‘ick times 10’.

She explained to the girls that she has had ‘these feelings for a while’.

‘I feel like I have been having these feelings for a while, but I feel like I have given it time,’ she began.

‘I have tried and tried with that boy.’

Sophie weighed in: ‘I feel like you just don’t vibe off each other.’

Leanne continued: ‘I just feel like now I’ve got the ick, everything he does actually annoys me.’

Jess asked her: ‘Does it? Everything? When he speaks are you like…’

Leanne then added: ‘Shut up.’

‘Shut up shut up shut up.’

Sophie went on to explain that Leanne ‘has the ick times 10.’

Before Leanne goes to talk to Mike she exclaimed: ‘Just like, little things annoy me, honestly girls thinking about it I’m like ergh.

‘I don’t find him funny, I don’t want to pretend to laugh.

‘I don’t want to lead him on because he’s telling me he’s caught feelings and I’m like “aww”.

Sophie finished the conversation as she said: ‘The next thing for you to do now is to speak to him about it.’

Love Island fans quickly took to Twitter to voice their viewers about the clip – and they weren’t happy with what Leanne said.

One tweeted: ‘I get if she doesn’t like him but that’s just rude talking behind his back like this.’

Another commented: ‘Bruh, Leanne could have worded it in a nicer way.’

A third added: ‘Leanne can go away nice boys who treat girls right get push aside this just shows. Mike rip.’

Love Island’s Joanna Chimonides says Sophie Piper has a ‘lot more to give’ in the villa now Connor Durman has gone

Love Island’s Joanna Chimonides says she thinks Sophie Piper has a ‘lot more to give’ in the villa now Connor Durman has gone.

Viewers saw the couple ripped apart in the latest dumping, after they received the fewest votes from the public. It was down to their fellow islanders to choose which of them got to stay in the villa, while the other got sent packing in just a 30 minute turnaround.

The villa picked Sophie, as they thought she would handle being in the villa on her own better than Connor would, and speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Joanna agrees that Sophie has a ‘lot more to give’.

Sharing her thoughts on Rochelle Humes’ younger sister, Joanna, who starred on Love Island last summer, said: ‘I think it’ll be nice for Sophie to try again [to meet someone].

‘She’s lovely and I don’t think people get her banter yet. She’s got more to show and I want to see it.’

Joanna knows only too well what it’s like to have your fellow islanders split you up, as she was sent home from the villa when her series had to pick between her and ex Michael Griffiths when they lost the public vote.

Her arrival had ruffled a few feathers, after Michael chose to stick with Jo and dump Amber Gill following Casa Amor.

Looking back at her awkward exit, where she called Michael a ‘snake’ for not leaving the show with her, Joanna said it’s a ‘no win situation’.

‘It’s horrible because you’re always thinking, if the other person goes, would I go? And if I go, would they go with me? You also see the loyalty of your castmates and whether they’re willing to keep you.

‘Either way you’re going to be upset, so it’s so hard.’

Love Island's Michael and Joanna

Admitting she can understand why the islander chosen to stay would stay in the villa and not leave for love, Joanna added: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and maybe they could meet someone [else]. Now looking back on it, I get why that person may want to stay.

‘It’s so early on into Connor and Sophie’s time in the villa, maybe it would be good for one of them to stay.’

Viewers saw Connor, after leaving the villa, say that he just wants Sophie to be happy, whether that means waiting for him or meeting somebody new.

Will her head turn? Two new bombshells have arrived in South Africa and new boy Wallace did pick Sophie as one of the three girls to go on a date with him.

Viewers will have to wait and see to find out what Sophie’s thinking, but if in the meantime ITV needs another bombshell to stir things up – Joanna is more than willing.

‘100 percent I’d [do Love Island] again,’ she told us. ‘I look back on it and I really want to be back in there.

‘If they asked me to be a bombshell, I would be like, “Absolutely. I’m ready to go. Sign me up, get me away, I’m done, I’m ready.”‘

You heard the girl.

New dad Jack Fincham beams with joy at NTAs after shock baby announcement

Love Island star Jack Fincham couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he attended the National Television Awards tonight, just days after announcing he’s become a father for the first time.

Dressed smartly in a suit and grey scarf, Jack smiled broadly for the cameras and is clearly still in a joyful daze after welcoming his daughter Blossom last week.

The ITV2 reality star rocked up to the star-studded awards on Tuesday evening alone but looked pretty chuffed with his own company.

While on the red carpet, Jack explained how becoming a dad has already changed his life.

Speaking to PA, the 28-year-old enthused: ‘It’s such an amazing feeling. When people say this to you: “Oh, when you have a child you will feel different…” I get it now.

‘I was holding her watching the TV, and I was just staring at her face. It just doesn’t get boring. It’s just amazing. You just keep looking at this little person thinking: ‘I created that. It’s amazing.’

He added: ‘I have got a different head on my shoulders. I’m not just thinking about myself anymore. When I do things I am thinking about Blossom as well. I don’t know how to explain it but it is that – you are not thinking about me, me, me. It is a funny old feeling but it is amazing.’

Fans were completely stunned when Jack took to social media last weekend to reveal that he quietly welcomed a baby girl. He is no longer with the child’s mother but they are happily co-parenting the newborn and are still close friends.

It comes less than a year after Jack split from girlfriend Dani Dyer after winning Love Island together in 2018. Dani admits was blindsided by the baby news and had no idea her ex had a little one on the way, but ‘100%’ wanted to send her congratulations to the new dad.

Jack announced the news with a cute photo with baby Blossom, and a message that explained: ‘I’m normally a very open book and share most of my life on my social media.

‘This blessing I chose not to. I’m just a normal geeza, who went on a tv show, which throws you straight into the public eye…which I will forever be grateful for.

‘However, I knew for myself I needed personal time and to keep this part of my life private to prepare for this new responsibility and part of me that will change my life forever.

‘This is undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me and it’s true what they say, the instant feeling of love and connection you have with your child is a feeling like no other.’

The NTAs 2020 are taking place at London’s O2 Arena and will be televised on ITV at 7:30pm.

What do all the Love Island phrases mean, from shoot your shot, to getting your head turned?

$
0
0
Sophie and Connor from Love Island
Connor said he understands if Sophie gets her head turned – but what does that actually mean? (Picture: ITV)

Love Island is well underway, bringing with it the classic niche Love Island lingo, largely all related to the contestants’ quest to find love.

Arguably, some of the words and quips from the show leave a longer-lasting legacy than the Islanders themselves.

One phrase, ‘it is what it is,’ has even inspired its own (extremely dangerous) drinking game.

Yesterday, Connor Durman was dumped from the villa, acknowledging his partner Sophie Piper could have her ‘head turned’ in his absence.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Gormley has violated the ‘girl code’ left, right and centre, while other contestants have discussed their plans to ‘shoot their shot’ when they spot someone they like.

So, what do these phrases all mean, and what other ones do you need to look out for?

Love Island catchphrases

‘Shoot your shot’

To shoot your shot is to let go of your pride and pursue someone.

Arguably, this is pretty essential in the Love Island villa.

‘Head Turned’

If you get your head turned it means someone has caught your eye, even if you’re dating someone else.

Sometimes people describe it as going ‘180’ referring to the angle at which their head has turned.

‘I Got a Text!’

More of a catchphrase than anything else, but you know s**t is going down when one of the housemates gets a text.

Last season, Ovie also introduced ‘message’ into the mix, referencing Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood, every time someone got a text.

‘Connection’

This is less of a catchphrase, but more of a recurring word, as contestants endlessly seek – and discuss whether or not they have – a connection with one another.

‘My Head’s Gone’

If your head is gone, you’re all over the place and can’t think straight.

‘It Is What It Is’

We’ve heard this a little less in Love Island 2020, but it still deserves an honorary mention.

Islanders say this when they are forced to accept situations they cannot change.

Sherif Lanre and Michael Griffiths both repeatedly uttered the phrase after being sent to the subs bench when they were pied during the first coupling up ceremony last year.

It’s so ubiquitous, some viewers have even put together compilations of all the utterances of it.

‘Head Turned’

If you get your head turned it means someone has caught your eye, even if you’re dating someone else.

Sometimes people describe it as going ‘180’ referring to the angle at which their head has turned.

‘Grafting’

Used to describe the action of working hard to get your crush to like you.

‘Crack On’

When your partner tells you they want to ‘crack on’ with someone else, it’s bad news.

It generally refers to pursuing or getting fired into someone.

‘Melt’

Quite simply… a melt is an idiot.

‘Eggs in One Basket’

To put all your resources (or attention) on one thing.

Within a Love Island context, this is when a contestant decides to focus on just one other person.

‘Mugged Off’

To be deceived or disrespected. Often used interchangeably with ‘pied.’

Paige told Finley off for his ‘muggy’ behaviour when he didn’t sit next to her at the firepit when Rebecca arrived.

‘Girl Code’

Mates before dates, sisters before misters… the girl code refers to a special female code that shouldn’t be broken.

The most common Love Island violations of the code? Pursuing your friends’ man (especially behind their back).

‘Pied’

This refers to the act of being ditched, dumped, or embarrassed

‘Where’s your Head At?’

The go-to phrase for any islanders wanting to know where someone’s romantic interest is at.
