Maura Higgins was reduced to tears following a row with Curtis Pritchard at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night.
The couple presented live from the red carpet as a duo, which is what’s thought to have started the argument.
According to The Sun, Maura – who slayed in a sheer gown – was heard complaining to friends he’d been ‘using’ her while he claimed she only got the NTA gig because of him.
‘It was actually my management that sorted it,’ she reportedly told pals. ‘He likes to think that he is the one people are after him, not me. He’s totally ruined my night.’
An onlooker from the after-party in London’s 02 Arena said: ‘Curtis seemed to be so drunk he had no idea Maura was just meters away from him.
‘At one point she was cowering in a corner as he towered over her as they continued to argue.’

Sources have told Metro.co.uk Curtis was excessively boozing and being supported by his Love Island co-stars.
‘Curtis had clearly been drinking and was charging around the after-party with Michael [Griffiths] and Joe [Garrett]. It was clear to everyone something was up,’ they told us. ‘Michael and Joe kept telling Curtis he’d done nothing wrong.’
The drama comes just weeks after Curtis shut down allegations of cheating on the Dancing on Ice star as a video of the 23-year-old getting close to a mystery woman at O’Neill’s in High Wycombe surfaced online.
Speaking to ITV’s Lorraine Kelly days after the incident, Curtis insisted: ‘It is nonsense. You can’t hug somebody or talk to somebody in this day and age without something coming out.
‘Me and Maura are completely fine. I was there watching her on Dancing On Ice yesterday.’
He stressed: ‘I have found love.’
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Curtis and Maura’s reps for comment.

Mandi says Leanne’s family apologised for the message on her behalf (Pictures: Rex/Mandi Vakili /Instagram)
Mandi Vakili, sister of former Love Island contestant Anna Vakili, has revealed current contestant Leanne Amaning dubbed her ‘scary’ in a DM she unearthed in her message requests.
The since-deleted screenshot Mandi posted on her Instagram story saw Leanne reply to a video of her with just the word ‘scary’.
It’s not clear what Leanne was referring to with her message, but Mandi took it to be trolling her, as she told her followers: ‘Was just about to go show this girl some love because I heard she was being badly trolled… but looks like she is a troll herself’, with laughing emojis.
Mandi soon deleted the screenshot, telling her followers that Leanne’s family had apologised on her behalf.
She posted: ‘Going [to] delete the screenshot for the sake of her family because of their kind messages asking me to x’.
Mandi also filmed herself telling her followers: ‘Look, I have deleted the screenshot and I have deleted all my videos so everyone can stop having their f**king period, like f**king relax.
Mandi shared then deleted the post on Instagram (Picture: Instagram)
‘And I only did it because her friends and family apologised on her behalf.’
Speaking after her exit, she admitted her leaving felt like ‘karma’ for having earlier ditched Mike: ‘I feel like he’s disregarded the two weeks we spent together and I feel like sending me home was a bit of a kick in the teeth, but it might also be my karma for dumping him.
‘Beforehand, we had a good connection as friends, I would have thought he would have had that loyalty with me more. But he can crack on and I’m happy for him, I want him to be happy.’

Lucie and Joe split up in November 2019 (Picture: ITV2)
Joe Garrett has revealed that he and ex-girlfriend Lucie Donlan are on good terms since they split in November and he is ‘very very single’.
The former Love Islander who appeared on the summer version in 2019 exclaimed that there’s no bad blood between him and his surfer ex.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk he explained: ‘Lucie and me are on good terms, I saw her the other night and it’s all gravy.’
And despite romance rumours between him and Amber Gill Joe added: ‘I am very very single.’
Joe exclaimed that while he is loving the drama in the winter series, fewer fans are watching it.

He continued: ‘Personally I thought the summer one was good, it is hard with the winter one and I know it’s dropped a few viewers but it’s winter, it is always going to be hard to compete with it.
‘The drama is good to watch in the villa but we live in a world where there is so much option and with social media and all of that we always see other people. We always think the grass is greener but it isn’t.’
‘I was lucky I had a good family because you can lose your head in it all,’ he explained.
‘When you come out you see what has come out and you are worried about what your reception is going to be like and don’t get me wrong it was a mixture – a bit of hate with all the controlling chat – I ended up getting back with Lucie – but it is hard.’

The 25-year-old could only watch on when he saw pal Mike Boateng make a move on Sophie, who Connor was coupled up with before being dumped from the villa.
Callum spoke with Shaughna about Mike’s motives with Sophie as he exclaimed: ‘Just had a chat with him (Mike) and he said he’s going to open his options to people and one name that came up which took me by surprise was Sophie.’
‘I know Mike is my mate but Connor was my best mate here and Sophie’s like a little sister as well so I was just thinking it’s weirding me out a bit.’
After watching the episode, Connor took to Instagram to praise his mate’s loyalty to him.
In his Insta story along with a screenshot, he wrote: ‘Love you so much.’

While in another he exclaimed: ‘My boy @_callum_jones I miss you like mad.’
And next to a picture of him and Callum, he continued: ‘Brothers. Always got my back and I got yours boy.’
After Leanne Amaning dumped Mike, the former police officer didn’t take long before he made his move on Rochelle Humes’ sister.
Will romance spark between Sophie and Mike? (Picture: ITV Picture Desk)
‘Just because you two didn’t work, it doesn’t mean it can’t work with someone else who comes in,’ she told him.
Mike responded: ‘Why someone who comes in? Why not someone who’s already here?’
Later in the beach hut, he continued: ‘I would like to get to know more about Sophie if the opportunity comes to kind of explore that a bit more then I’ll definitely be open to taking it.’
‘Maybe Mike now… it’ll be easier for him to crack on and do his thing without me there,’ she began.
‘Me and Mike, we didn’t work. I feel he’s justified in what he did by picking Sophie. That’s a big thing to do – it’s a bold move to make.’
The customer service advisor went on to explain that being sent home was ‘a bit of a kick in the teeth’ and that she expected him to pick Sophie in the recoupling.
She continued: ‘I feel like he’s disregarded the two weeks we spent together and I feel like sending me home was a bit of a kick in the teeth, but it might also be my karma for dumping him.

Love Island’s Sophie Piper will have to face a lot of challenges in the villa after her pal Leanne Amaning got dumped instead of her according to Metro.co.uk’s body language expert Judi James.
Sophie, who was coupled up with Connor Durman before he brutally got axed from the villa got chosen by Mike Boateng in the recoupling (because Leanne told him her true feelings).
‘I think she has realised she had a guy who was very obsessive outside, watching everything she does and doesn’t want to look like a baddie but after a day spent thinking about it she was on the campaign train last night.
‘She was going around like “I don’t want to make you feel bad but I do want to stay in”.’
Connor was dumped from the villa leaving Sophie single (Picture: Rex)
Sophie is not one to be underestimated Judi went on and ‘she’s not bothered that she’s lost the love of her life’.
She continued: ‘We are seeing giggly Sophie, assertive Sophie, level headed Sophie, she is smart and she will find someone else.
‘I will wait to see who comes in and I don’t think she has the nasty girl title and I don’t think she wants it but she does have a side to her that I admire.’
Sophie is now coupled up with her pal Leanne’s former beau Mike (Photo by ITV/REX)
‘I have a feeling we won’t see much of Mike and Sophie, she will talk to the women to get her popularity back,’ Judi added.
‘It’s tricky for her, she’s lost Connor and she doesn’t want to look so quickly but she has a lot of work to do.’
Will romance spark for Sophie and Mike?

The now 24-year-old made his villa debut last week, seeing him couple up with Jess Gale after the duo shared their first kiss.
But it turns out the ITV2 hit isn’t the only reality show Luke has been on.
That’s right, six whole years ago, the heating engineer made a cameo on Geordie Shore, seeing Vicky brand him ‘Justin Bieber’s younger brother.’
A tweet from the MTV show’s official account has resurfaced online, featuring a quote from the queen of reality herself.
She branded him Just Bieber’s younger brother (Picture: @mtvgeordieshore)
‘The first person I see happens to be Justin Bieber’s younger brother!’ she said, which landed next to the caption: ‘It happens to be the best of us.’
Luke hasn’t mentioned his time on Geordie Shore, however, it seems his fellow islanders agree with Vic and have also likened him to the Sorry hitmaker.
The Biebs lookalike appears to be hitting things off with Jess after the public chose the twin to go on a date with him earlier on in the series.
‘I think we’ve got a good thing going,’ he told the 20-year-old before leaning in for a kiss.
Luke is currently coupled up with Jess Gale (Picture: ITV2)
Jess entered the show with her twin sister Eve, who coupled up with Callum Jones before she was booted off the island.
However, despite being sad to leave her sister behind, it turns out she was ready to walk away from the show.
‘I felt ready and happy and excited to come back as I was missing home a lot and I was excited to see my friends and family. I think everything happens for a reason.’
Eve and Jess were the first set of twins to go on the UK reality show, after the Packham twins went far in the Australian version last year.
Winter Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Casa Amor is back and we can’t wait! (Pictures: ITV/Rex)
Love Island’s Casa Amor is reportedly coming back and it’s bringing 12 new contestants with it.
Ooooo we can sense the drama already!
Fans weren’t sure if TV bosses were bringing the controversial challenge to winter Love Island – but it turns out they are.
Reports suggest that the boys will be separated from the girls and shipped off to Casa Amor where they will be joined by six new lovey ladies.
Meanwhile, the girls will stay in the main villa and will be joined by six new hunks – but whose head will be the first to turn?
‘Bosses are determined to cause a real stir this year with Casa Amor and have drafted in the sexiest singles yet,’ a source revealed.

Casa Amor is back! (Picture: Knight Frank/ Splash News)
‘The new Cape Town Casa Amor is just a short distance away from the main villa and as the girls and boys split, there’ll be tons of temptation in the form of gorgeous bombshells hoping to turn heads.
‘The decor will feature phrases from this year’s series such as Shoot Your Shot and Trust In Your Sauce written on the walls,’ a source continued to The Sun.
The happy couples currently in the villa are, Finn and Paige, Luke T and Siannise, Callum and Shaughna, Luke M and Jess, Wallace and Rebecca, Nas and Demi and Mike and Sophie.
But will their heads be turned by the 12 new bombshells – like when Michael Griffiths walked in with Joanna on his arm….
We cannot wait to find out.
ITV have been approached for a comment.

Yes, the guru is back for another episode of Love Island or Lie Island, and she had a lot to say about the shock break that stirred up the villa.
The duo appeared to be in love after coupling up in the first ever episode.
However, things turned sour when Leanne suddenly realise she just wasn’t that into the Manchester policeman.
And while she could have modestly called things off, the 22-year-old made a song and a dance about her split – causing Judi to have all the thoughts.
‘It was brutal when she spoke to him afterwards,’ the expert told Metro.co.uk before adding: ‘She didn’t do any softeners at all.
Love Island’s Leanne adored being centre of attention during Mike split (Picture: ITV/REX)
‘I think the “it’s not you, it’s me” routine is quite corny but at least it leaves the other one with some pride.’
She continued: ‘But to be as brutal as she was with him, it gave no softener whatsoever.’
Turning her attention to how Leanne held herself during the episode, she explained: ‘I was fascinated by the body language in this scene, you have to think about how these scenes were put together, and I am using this phrase.
‘If you wanted to have a quiet word with the girls, you sit down for that kind of a chat, you would lean forward, but she turned it into a performance.
She called things off with her man (Photo by ITV/REX)
They were coupled up from the beginning (Picture: Rex)
‘To be standing up like that for no purpose, they weren’t at a cocktail party, she stood right in the middle of them all and then she performed in a way to keep them all amused.
‘You could see their signals, you could see them to use cut off gestures where they’re slightly embarrassed to hear what she’s saying.’
And it seems Judi believes this is what sealed Leanne’s fate, seeing her booted from the villa in last night’s recoupling.
‘For most fans, there is a question mark hanging over her head, like “why did she do it?” because she would have known that it almost sealed her fate to be out of the show, which I clearly don’t think she wanted,’ she said.
‘But I don’t think we have seen the real Leanne, and I don’t think she went into the right show, I don’t think she got it.’
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. Watch the full episode of this week’s Love Island or Lie Island here.

The remaining twin is currently coupled up with Luke, and shared her first kiss with him after coupling up earlier on in the week.
However, after Leanne Amaning was dumped from the villa, it seems Mike is trying to make moves with Jess, and fans are not feeling it.
Pulling her to one side, the policeman confessed: ‘I do feel like I should probably let you know that obviously I would have picked you but I’m not going to let it stop me from getting to know you.
‘I say that but I feel like we know each other very well.’
Luke was watching on from the kitchen and quipped to his fellow islanders: ‘He doesn’t waste any time does he.’
Luke M is not impressed (Picture: ITV2)
Keeping her cards close to her chest, Jess added: ‘I think for me, actions speak louder than words. In order for me now to be with someone other than Luke, it would take… You need to like show me.’
And it seems Mike is up for working hard to win her affection, telling the VIP hostess: ‘I definitely see us going some words. Actions speak louder than words, and I will show you.’
But it seems Leanne’s dumping won’t be leaving Jess’s mind any time soon, as she told Mike: ‘I know if this hadn’t happened with Leanne, like you wouldn’t be saying it.’
Laying it on thick, Mike tried to reassure her: ‘Everything happens for a reason, this might have been a kick up the bum to get to where I’m supposed to be.’
REALLY don’t like mike, he’s such a snake, get him out #LoveIsland
Later on in the episode, Mike was telling Luke how good he was feeling about the whole situation.
‘After we had that conversation I thought I made my position clear at that point with how I felt with Jess. I’m not going to lie to you, I was thinking if I had that opportunity to couple up with Jess I would have done it,’ he affirmed.
‘In hindsight, I should have told you, but moving forward in the villa at this moment in time there is only one person in here I see myself moving forward with romantically, and that’s Jess.’
Mike added: ‘Me and Jess already click, it’s mutual, we have loads in common and we already know that the way we get on here, we’d get on like that on the outside.
Will Jess move on with Mike? (Picture: ITV2)
‘I’m going to make it very clear, romantically in this villa the only person I can see myself moving on with is Jess.’
Fans were quick to comment on the situation, where they revealed how they thought the Mancunian was being shady.
‘REALLY don’t like mike, he’s such a snake, get him out,’ one said while another added: ‘I feel so repulsed by Mike. Such a snake, v manipulative. He’s just not the kind of person you’d want near your sister/daughter.’
Someone else wrote: ‘I’ve just started liking Jess but I seriously hope she realises what shes got with Luke. Mike is a snake, pure snake.’
Mike is currently coupled up with Sophie Piper, but it is Love Island, and anything could happen – especially with Casa Amor on its way.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.

Sophie ended up going to bed early in tears after Shaughna expressed her worries that her friend had attempted to put pressure on Nas Majeed to couple up with her in order to stay in the villa.
Instead, Nas opted to couple up romantically for the first time, choosing Demi Jones to see how their relationship goes instead.
Sophie, who was eventually saved by Mike Boetang, later spoke with Shaughna who asked her about the pressure she put on him, and after denying it later cried to him, saying she felt alone in the villa.
Nas then reported back to his boys, including Callum, about the weepy Sophie, who then went and asked his other half Shaughna what she’d said.
Sophie was left weeping to Nas after feeling cornered after the recoupling (Picture: ITV)
Shaughna ended up getting upset that Callum wasn’t even giving her the opportunity to say what happened, and the pair ended up having a barney of their own, ending the night with Shaughna in tears herself in the Beach Hut.
During the private chat to the cameras, she admitted that she felt like there was a third person in her budding relationship with Callum… and it was Sophie.
Viewers were gutted for the Essex girl and blasted Callum for picking the wrong side in the fight.
Callum you child. Get facts right. Showing up his immaturity. Shaughna was spot on! #loveisland
Sophie is manipulative and playing victim because what shaughna said is correct & also Callum doesn’t really like shaughna. A man that likes you would not approach you that way #loveisland
Whether Callum is feeling some kind of way with Shaughna or not will be put to the test soon enough – as Casa Amor is looming over the group.
Soon six girls will be chucked into the villa in a bid to make their case and couple up with the current residents.
Will Callum and Shaughna remain faithful to each other? Or will one of their heads be turned?
Only one way to find out…

Is Luke about to lose Jess to Mike? (Picture: ITV)
Tomorrow night’s Love Island looks set to get complicated as Jess Gale admits she does have feelings for Mike Boateng after all – despite being coupled up with Luke Mabbot.
Luke has been watching with darting eyes over the past couple of days as Mike repeatedly spent more alone time with Jess, even though he was giving things a go with her.
It seems fresh from a romance with Leanne Amaning has given Mike a shot in the arm to move on quickly, and after recoupling with Sophie Piper to keep her in the game, he made it clear that he actually wants to be with Jess.
With Jess telling him to fight for it, he’s been doing just that, and in a preview of tomorrow’s episode it looks like it could be working.
As Jess is asked whether she fancies Luke or not, Jess responds with the less-than-reassuring: ‘I want to fancy Luke.’
Later, Luke M pulls his bestie Luke T for a lads chat, at which point he’s asked: ‘Do you think that she’s giving you the full picture?’
Mike has been trying to get with Jess over the past couple of days (Picture: ITV)
Short answer: no. And it’s clearly given Luke M some food for thought.
Whatever happens, it’s decided that the men should properly talk it out – after Luke M branded Mike a snake for going after his girl.
‘If she hasn’t told you, I’m telling you,’ Mike is seen declaring to him. ‘There’s definitely something there between me and her.’
Something tells us Luke is beginning to realise he might be losing the fight.
Jess confessed there’s something missing with Luke (Picture: ITV)
The confrontation comes after viewers thought Mike was being cringey by declaring to Luke that there was something between him and Jess, despite evidence suggesting otherwise.
Furious Luke M demanded more honesty from his mate, which got the response: ‘In hindsight, I should have told you, but moving forward in the villa at this moment in time there is only one person in here I see myself moving forward with romantically, and that’s Jess.’
Mike added: ‘Me and Jess already click, it’s mutual, we have loads in common and we already know that the way we get on here, we’d get on like that on the outside.’
He’d previously told Jess that he wanted to pick her in the recoupling, but Luke M got in there first.
Basically, expect lots of awkward glances and piano music tomorrow – it’s going to be one to mull over.

The pair coupled up in Wednesday night’s episode following their romantic date earlier on in the week.
And it seems they’ve only been going from strength to strength, seeing the builder pluck up the courage to plant one on his new gal.
Talking about the sex position challenge they won earlier on in the day, the newcomer asked her man: ‘I can’t believe we actually won, are you quite adventurous in bed then, Nas?’
Slightly blushing, he nervously laughed: ‘That’s a good question, this is going to sound do soppy.’
But, before he could finish, Demi quipped: ‘Are you more of a lover?’
Demi was taken aback (Picture: ITV2)
Nas seems to be happy in his new relationship (Picture: ITV2)
‘I’m glad you said it, but yes,’ the Londoner confessed before shooting back the same question.
‘It depends on the situation, and with whom,’ Demi told him: ‘I have so much fun with you honestly, I feel so comfortable around you, there is no pressure, we’re just going to roll with it and see what happens.’
She added: ‘I know what I want I’m going to be true to myself, if it means me coming in here for a couple of days and you not liking me then I have to go home, I won’t pretend to like other people.’
Nas affirmed: ‘I respect that,’ as Demi pressed: ‘I’m such a touchy-feely person, I just want to touch you.’
omg how happy nas is, is actually making me want to cry a little bit 🥺 don’t let him down demi #LoveIsland
Confessing how he is a ‘cuddly’ person, Nas then took Demi by surprise and leaned in for a kiss.
After locking lips, she squealed: ‘I wasn’t expecting that! that was reassuring.’
And it seems fans were just as shocked as they were quick to take to Twitter to coo over the loved up duo.
‘omg how happy nas is, is actually making me want to cry a little bit. Don’t let him down demi,’ one wrote as another added: ‘Ah man, I may explode from the cuteness of Nas and Demi.’
Someone else said: ‘Can love island not play the Romeo and Juliet music while Nas and Demi talk and kiss, I might cry.’

Last night’s episode saw the police officer declare that he fancied the twin – who is currently (happily?) coupled up with Luke Mabbott – and set about trying to win her over.
While love might be in the air for those two, Shaughna Phillips called Sophie Piper out after feeling she ‘put pressure’ on Nas Majeed to keep her in, despite still having feelings for Connor Durman – leading to tears and even more arguments.
One pair who weren’t arguing were Nas and newbie Demi Jones, as they shared their first kiss, leaving their fellow Islanders – and everyone watching at home – delighted.
#DasToWin.
So if, like Jess, your head was turned or you just wanted an early night, here’s what went down on an eventful night in the villa.
Shuaghna and Sophie clash over Nas
Shaughna called Sophie out on her behaviour (Picture: ITV)After the recoupling session saw Mike picking Sophie and sending Leanne Amaning home, Shaughna decided to pull Rochelle Humes’ sister for a quick chat, revealing her worries that her pal had tried to pressure Nas into choosing to keep her in – before he eventually picked to pair up with Demi.
She said: ‘I would have felt terrible seeing Demi go as she hasn’t even started her journey, compared to you who has started it, got what you wanted.
‘I would have felt bad on Nas.’
Hitting back, Sophie insisted: ‘But Nas was never forced into a position. He wasn’t at all.’
Sophie was left in tears after the chat (Picture: ITV)To which she replied: ‘Good, as that would have been unfair.’
However, the whole thing left Sophie crying, as she ran to tell Nas about the row, explaining she felt uncomfortable in the villa as ‘no one wanted her to stay’.
Shaughna refused to back down when beau Callum Jones spoke to her about the situation, leading to even more tears in the beach hut when she admitted that Sophie felt like the third person in their relationship.
Fresh off sending Leanne home, he was wasting no time on single life in the villa, and quickly set about putting the moves on the twin.
‘I do feel like I should probably let you know that obviously I would have picked you but I’m not going to let it stop me from getting to know you,’ he admitted. ‘I say that but I feel like we know each other very well.
‘I definitely see us going some words. Actions speak louder than words, and I will show you.’
He then insisted that he would be her ‘sexy side dish’ in South Africa, whatever that means.
Luke M was not impressed (Picture: ITV)After spotting Jess and Mike cuddling up on the garden beds, Luke stormed over and demanded answers from his partner.
During the chat, she insisted that she had put Mike in his place and told him her heart lies with the Justin Bieber lookalike.
Side note: This didn’t actually happen.
Unfortunately for Justin Bieber Luke, it doesn’t look like that love triangle is turning to a love… line anytime soon.
Asked whether or not she fancies Luke, she confesses: ‘I want to fancy Luke…’
And Mike is well and truly ready to rub salt in his wounds, telling him: ‘If she hasn’t told you, I’m telling you…
‘There’s definitely something there between me and her.’
Nas and Demi kiss
Just hand Nas and Demi the £50k already (Picture: ITV)On a lighter note and away from all the drama, Nas and Demi seemed to be going from strength to strength in South Africa, leaving viewers absolutely delighted.
Things between Das (or Nemi?) went up by several notches when they took part in – and won – a game of sex positions, beating out all the other couples in the villa.
After finally locking lips, Demi confessed: ‘I wasn’t expecting that! That was reassuring.’
And Nas’ smile said it all.

The 22-year-old has been single since splitting from Greg O’Shea last year, but has raised eyebrows after sliding into the England ace’s Instagram comments with some flirty messages.
And it has now been claimed the pair are getting closer, after going on a string of secret dates.
‘They’ve been on two dates in as many weeks in London,’ an insider said. ‘He’s even met her really good friends, so that tells you how serious she’s taking it.
‘They’ve been chatting for quite a while now but only recently met properly.
‘They are both really busy and she doesn’t go on many dates, so it’s a really good sign.’
‘The fact she has posted a public display of affection, by flirting on Instagram, is a good sign too,’ they added to the Sun. ‘She’s not usually one to show her feelings so quickly.’
Amber and Fikayo have been flirting up a storm on Instagram, with the reality star getting tongues wagging with her comments.
Beneath a snap of the 22-year-old posing inside his car and rocking a grey tracksuit, she simply wrote, ‘Drip drip’, to which he replied, ‘Don’t drown’, sending fans into meltdown.
However, neither have mentioned the romance claims on social media…

But, speaking at the end of last year, she insisted she had no time to think about her love life, as she was too busy securing the bag.
‘I haven’t got time for it,’ she told The Sun.
‘And I don’t want to take the shine off what I’m doing because it really is an amazing opportunity.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Amber’s reps for a comment.

Good Morning Britain viewers have been left stunned at a ‘debate’ on the show about whether or not women should date short men.
In a debate which was said to be inspired by Love Island’s Nas Majeed, radio DJ Zeze Millz and reality TV star Ashley James appeared on the show to discuss the subject – and people weren’t impressed.
With Zeze claiming that being in a relationship with a taller man makes her feel ‘protected’, Ashley pointed out that ‘there are no Saber-toothed tigers anymore’.
Zeze went on to say: ‘When you walk down the road with a taller man, other men respect them more.’
The Made In Chelsea star explained that the dicussion ‘goes back to traditional ideas of femininity,’ with women not feeling like they want to be bigger than their partner.
She added: ‘I was single for six years and in that time it’s so hard to find someone you’re compatible with…the more pointless flags you put up, the less likely you are [to find someone].’
Ben wasn’t impressed (Picture: ITV)
However, Zeze couldn’t be converted as she admitted that, while she has been attracted to shorter men, ‘it’s always better with a six foot guy.’
Viewers weren’t too impressed with the segment, with many pointing out that men can’t control their height.
‘Your clearly offering prejudice against short men, poking fun, shameful behaviour [sic],’ one wrote.
Another added: ‘Wow if this discussion was about women there would be outcry!’
@GMB You're talking about discriminating against shorter men, even though their height is something no one can control. Are we able to pick and choose which discrimination is ok now?
@GMB#goodmorningbritain girls on the show saying she will only date men over a certain height. Imagine a male saying he will only date a women under a certain weight- double standards
#GMB men, are you watching this utter trash about short men? This is the kind of mindless targeting of physical attributes that women have to put up with https://t.co/nKYadRTFDb. Crap, isn't it?
So just as I was leaving the house I caught today’s phone in on GMB
Would you date a short man?
Oh god can you imagine if this was the other way around about a woman’s physical appearance! 🙈 they would be taken off air with the level of complaints 😂
However, others happily shared their stories of dating smaller men, with one viewer writing: ‘My fiancé and I have been together for 13 years and have never been happier. I’m 6ft and he’s 5ft 5.’
‘I don’t see what’s wrong with a short guy and anyway what does it matter as long as he’s a nice guy and has a great personality #GMB,’ another asked.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Good Morning Britain for comment.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

While Nas, who has coupled up with Demi Jones, was obviously comforting who he’d previously described as his ‘best friend’ in the villa, some fans saw it differently.
Viewers claimed watching his tactile display made them ‘uncomfortable’ and even suggested he ‘secretly fancies’ Sophie.

‘Is Nas mad rubbing Sophie’s leg like that?! She had to make an excuse to walk away,’ one wrote on Twitter.
Another added: ‘The leg rub Nas gave Sophie was uncomfortable and unnecessary. I’m sure he didn’t do it with creepy intentions, but guys, please don’t do that, it’s creepy.’
‘The leg rub was intense…made me think that Nas secretly fancies Sophie,’ a third fan speculated.
Others leapt to Nas’ defence however, defending him for simply being a ‘nice guy’ and being affectionate with Sophie in her time of need.

One viewer argued: ‘Guys stop. Nas didn’t come across predatory at all! I am very tactile & comfort people with affection when they’re crying.
‘I’m sure it’d look weird on TV too. Male-female platonic relationships exist. Sophie didn’t seem perturbed. Stop making things weird.’
Another user added: ‘I’m getting nice guy vibes from Nas. The way he was stroking Sophie’s thigh to comfort her.’
Nas went up to the dressing room to comfort a crying Sophie after she clashed with her best friend, Shaugna.

After losing her other half Connor Durman, Sophie had been left vulnerable in the latest elimination.
She left Shaugna suspicious of her motives after pleading with Nas to keep her in the villa – despite his blossoming romance with Demi.
Shaughna took her aside and told her: ‘I would’ve felt terrible seeing Demi go compared to you, because that would’ve been unfair.’
Her words didn’t go down too well with Rochelle Humes’ younger sister, who said she felt unwanted in the villa and as if everyone would’ve preferred Leanne Amaning to stay.

Saving the world one coffee cup at a time (Picture: ITV)
Love Island has announced that it’s going green in an effort to save the planet – with the villa now being fitted with single-use coffee cups.
Broadcaster ITV2 have teamed up with brand ECoffee to make the show more environmentally conscious than ever before.
These new Re-To-Go coffee cups will hopefully help the Islanders reduce their carbon footprint through the reduction in waste.
They’ve got to offset those flights to South Africa somehow!
Apparently, the new cups will be made from natural materials and will be able to be used for both hot and cold drinks, whether the Islanders a sipping the tea or just staying hydrated.
Ecoffee Cup Founder and Brand Director, David McLagan said of the new partnership: ‘Since we started in 2014, we have been at the forefront of the re-use movement.
Will the iconic water bottles be next to go? (Picture: ITV)‘It’s great that a programme such as Love Island, with its massive following, is coming on-board to help spread the message.’
Honestly, every little helps in saving the world, right?
We can’t wait to see the islanders swerve a collaboration with Pretty Little Thing et. al to become the next Great Thunberg, tbh.
Luckily for Nas and Demi, though, it looks like they’ll be getting a lot closer tonight…
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2

Love Island’s Sophie and Mike face the chop tonight (Picture: ITV2)
Love Island has thrown in a huge twist which could wipe the smirk of Mike Boateng’s face as tonight the islanders will vote for which couple they think are the least compatible and it doesn’t take a cupid to work out who they might be.
Sophie Piper is borderline repulsed by Michael, while he’s spent the past 48 hours desperately cracking on to Jess Gale.
After Leanne Amaning dumped the police officer in one of the most brutal splits in Love Island history, he’s been on the rampage.
It’s all kicking off with Mike and Luke M (Picture: ITV2)Last night’s teaser warned viewers tensions were going to continue to soar between Mike and Luke Mabbott, but their feud could be put to an abrupt end by the powers that be: producers.
Jess insisted to Luke M she had no interest in Mike after pretty much saying the polar opposite to her ‘sexy side dish’ just seconds before.
Then tonight, she reveals to the girls that she ‘wants to fancy Luke’ and honestly what is going on?
Viewers are backing Luke M all the way but with the power out of our hands, whose name is on a one-way ticket back to the UK?
Rebecca Gormley and Wallace Wallace basically confirm they have zero chemistry tonight too, putting them firmly in the firing line also.
It’s about to kick off and, honestly, what a time to be alive.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Luke M says: ‘There’s only so much you can take. I know you’re going to talk to her, but pulling her so much today…’
Mike cant resist winding Luke M up (Picture: ITV/REX)
But Mike seems eager to wind him up further, saying: ‘Have I? Or has she just gravitated towards me?
‘You came up mid conversation, sat down interrupted and then grabbed her. Fair enough my arm was around her, the girl was cold. You didn’t provide a jacket for her, Mr Gentleman.
‘Naturally she’ll pick me because I’m more of her type. To me it seems you’re a bit insecure.’
Luke M says: ‘Let’s let this run its natural course.
‘I know you’re going to chat to her and stuff. We’ll just have to see how it pans out.’
Mike has been trying to get with Jess over the past couple of days (Picture: ITV)
But on Jess’s side of things, her mind is split between her two paramours.
The 20-year-old tells the girls: ‘I think I could fancy Luke. I think I want to fancy Luke.
‘I’m happy with him and I like the way things are going and I’m hopeful that things are going to go well.
‘I need to give it more time. Now, my doubts with Luke could potentially push me towards Mike.’

The Love Island star was pictured pushing and shoving a paparrazo in the early hours of Wednesday morning, which led to him being investigated by police.
Chris claimed the bust-up was in self-defence (Picture: Instagram)
It comes after Chris was noticeably absent from a montage of snaps Jesy posted from the awards, which she’d captioned: ‘Celebrated with all the people I love.’
The ITV2 star released a statement hours after the scuffle in which he claimed the pap ‘called him names’.
The 27-year-old said: ‘I want to address last night’s altercation. I was having an amazing night celebrating the award my girlfriend deservedly won. After coming out of our hotel, a particular paparazzi decided to repeatedly call me a name I wouldn’t call my worst enemy and physically try and start an altercation.
‘As everyone can see I retaliated back badly to this which I totally regret. I’m human. No different to anyone else.’
Chris continued: ‘This night was about Jesy’s win and I am sorry if I distracted anyone from this. Ultimately I’m the proudest boyfriend ever and want to congratulate my amazing girlfriend for a deserving win. I am so proud of you.’
