It’s easily the most exciting bit of Christmas but this year, the Love Island reunion which sees the latest cast unleash their claws for the confrontation of confrontations, won’t be coming in 2019.

While we’ve been counting down the days for Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea’s first meeting since he dumped her by text (according to her), it’s not going to happen.

‘The cast don’t think there are any plans for a Christmas reunion like last year, but they haven’t been given a straight answer,’ a source told OK! Online.

‘A few of the islanders have seen the producers since leaving the villa and there was a bit of a reunion at the ITV Palooza! last week and the topic was brought up but quickly shut down.

‘Questions were asked about the possibility of an on-screen reunion, but they were all ignored by producers.’

So alas, we’ll never know what would have happened when Amber finally got some answers from Greg; what really went down between India Reynolds and Ovie Soko, and if Chris Taylor and Harley Brash were actually a thing. Is Anton Danyluk’s mum still shaving his bum now Belle Hassan is out of the picture?

You’re guess is as good as ours.

However, while there won’t be any catfights over the Christmas pudding, there is a second helping of Love Island instead and Caroline Flack has already touched down in Cape Town to film the first ever Winter series.

Although, speaking to Metro.co.uk, she’s already dreading the hellish commute.

‘It’s a long old flight just to do that walking,’ she told us. ‘It’s a 13 hour flight! I’ve got to go back and forth the whole time to do Aftersun over here.’

Ovie Soko is officially returning to basketball, following his stint in the Love Island villa.

The 28-year-old – who ended the ITV2 series in third place with ex India Reynolds – has joined the London Lions, and will be making his court comeback next month.

And we are absolutely living for it.

Confirming the news, he revealed his excitement at playing basketball in his hometown.

‘I’m excited to be back home and help contribute to basketball back home where my love for the sport started,’ the MailOnline reports he said.

‘To be able to play in front of friends and family and supporters in my hometown is huge for me and look forward to pushing the basketball culture in the right direction.’

While his new head coach, Vince Macaulay, added: ‘Soko is a highly experienced and talented player who is in demand across Europe.

‘We are thrilled that he has chosen to play for the London Lions, UK’s current Premier League Champions, and inject increased passion into British basketball.

‘He will add power and creativity to the team – everyone is buzzing!’

Ovie will be appearing for the London Lions in their game against Glasgow Rocks on 8 December, at the Copper Box Arena in Stratford.

The basketball pro has played for teams around the world, including a five-year stint in the US, as well as France, Greece, Spain and Italy.

Basically, he’s smashed it.

Ovie’s news comes after he split from India Reynolds, just months after they left the Love Island villa together.

According to reports, the pair found it hard to co-ordinate their conflicting schedules, and ended things amicably.

But, rather than throw himself a pity party with seven gallons of Ben And Jerry’s, the athlete remained as upbeat as ever, quoting Rihanna and reminding fans to ‘shine like diamonds’.

Sharing a video on his Instagram page soon after their break-up, he said: ‘On this beautiful Sunday you should all remember: “Shine bright like a diamond.” Because Rihanna said so’.

We are absolutely not worthy of Ovie Soko.

Malin Andersson hasn’t had the easiest time since leaving Love Island, way back in 2016.

The model’s mum died after battling cancer a year after she left the villa, and tragically lost her baby girl Consy at the beginning of 2019, just a month after she was born.

And the 26-year-old has managed to come out the other side of her grief even more empowered than before, taking it upon herself to become an advocate for body positivity.

She has shared countless photos of herself on social media – complete with stretch marks and cellulite – and has gained enormous praise for every single post.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk to promote her campaign with Scantilly lingerie, she opened up about being branded an inspiration for being so open and honest on social media.

‘I’m receiving all sorts of messages. Personal stories, [people telling me] that I’m an inspiration, things about strength,’ she told us.

‘It’s so beautiful to see. When I say I’m getting thousands of messages a day, I’m not even joking.

‘People are watching because they’re wanting to feel more secure in themselves, they’re wanting to see healthy, good things on their feed when they wake up

‘When you’re authentic, it’s a really nice feeling because you’re helping other people with it, especially younger women.’

But Malin isn’t just here to promote body positivity, and is hoping to use her platform to discuss a huge range of topics – including domestic abuse and grief.

The reality star bravely shared photos of her bruised arms and face on social media, in a bid to raise awareness for domestic abuse, and encourage people to talk about things that may be considered ‘taboo’.

‘It’s not just the body image that I’m trying to portray, it’s also other things I’m trying to normalise. Domestic abuse, mental health, eating disorders, grief, baby loss, all of these things that need to be normalised that people don’t speak about,’ she continued.

‘They just think that social media is glitz and glam, being an ex-reality TV star, that’s far from me now

‘The journey is a personal journey as well, like with all the eating disorders I used to have and whatnot, it’s changed over time. It’s all about growth. And I’m a huge believer in that. When you go through certain things, you look at other things completely differently.’

Discussing why she decided to share pictures of her bruises with her constantly-growing fanbase, she revealed: ‘It’s such a taboo, these women don’t speak about it. Women that goes through this, they’re too scared to speak up and sometimes they need a voice that’s bigger, that has a platform, and that can speak up for them.

‘That’s what I feel like I’m doing. Women don’t speak up about it, and the amount of messages I’ve received about domestic violence is actually heartwrenching.

‘I’ve been a reason to people to go to the police, and that’s amazing.’

While Malin didn’t go any further, she explained that – despite not being ‘over’ aspects of her past, she is hoping to use her experiences to help people in the future.

‘I’m still not over certain things that I’ve gone through,’ she added.

‘I have to find a reason for me to pick [myself] up, so if I can help other people with and share tips of what helps me, it can help someone else as well. Even if it’s just one person, that’s still change in my eyes.

‘Knowing there are plenty of women that are feeling better, and I’m helping them, even younger girls are reaching out to me about stretch marks or body dysmorphia, eating disorders, anything.

‘You’re making a slight change, and as influences, we have a responsibility to influence in a right way.’

Caroline Flack was living her absolute best life as she stripped down to enjoy a glass of champagne in a steaming hot bubble bath as part of her latest photoshoot.

And she was clearly unafraid to show it off on Instagram.

The Love Island presenter shared a video to her 2.3 million followers of her drinking champagne while in the bath, posing up a storm as she had her picture taken for the camera.

It’s possible she might be a Lady Gaga fan, as her hit single Just Dance could be heard playing in the background. Or perhaps Caroline was taking inspiration from the singer herself, after she previously showed off her ice cold baths on her own Instagram page?

‘I take baths really seriously, shoot TBC,’ she captioned the post.

It wasn’t long until fans rushed to the comments to compliment Caroline on her looks.

Asides from exciting photoshoots, the 40-year-old has also given us another reason to be excited: she recently flew to Cape Town to begin filming for the upcoming winter series of Love Island.

‘It’s a 13 hour flight [to South Africa],’ she said. ‘I’ve got to go back and forth the whole time do Aftersun over here.’

Love Island star Ellie Brown has confirmed her relationship status after rumours started to swirl she was dating Michael Griffiths.

The star took to Instagram with a picture of herself posing in front of the camera with her hand raised up to her head.

And while there was no mention of her fellow islander in the caption, she did tease she was seeing someone.

‘When ur mans giving u a migraine,’ the 21-year-old wrote to her followers.

However, the reality star’s Ex on the Beach pal, Sophie Kasaei, was quick to comment and called her out on the phrase.

A source told The Sun: ‘Ellie and Michael hit it off during filming on Ex On The Beach and now they’ve started dating.

‘They were supposed to keep the relationship under wraps until the show had aired of course, but it seems they just couldn’t keep quiet.’

The insider added: ‘They both know what it’s like to be caught up in the drama of a big reality TV show and they really bonded during their time on the programme.

‘Now there’s a new Love Island couple on the block.’

Michael is yet to address the speculation, however it seems as though he’s keeping busy as it’s said he’ll be joining the cast of Ex On The Beach.

Talking about his venture, the star’s ex Amber told Metro.co.uk: ‘Good for him… That’s a good opportunity for him, I have to say. That is a good opportunity.’

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague has come under fire yet again after using a foundation that is way too dark for her natural skin tone.

The influencer has disappointed fans after her latest make-up tutorial had her using a foundation shade that a lot of black and Asian people use, bringing up the question of why she feels the need to be darker than she actually is.

Describing her everday routine, the 20-year-old said: ‘I’ve really been enjoying Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk but this is too dark for me so I’m going to be mixing it with my studio fix fluid from MAC which is a holy grail of mine I use it all the time and this is in the shade NC42 which is still very dark.

Defending why she uses such a dark shade, Molly explained: ‘I go very pale in the winter time and obviously now it’s getting colder, it’s getting wintery, so I’ve gotten quite pale.

‘Once my foundation is on, and the whole world has hated me for how orange my face is…’

Fans and viewers took to Twitter to discuss the problems of turning yourself a different skin colour and deeming it a ‘tan’.

Christmas has come early for fans of Love Island’s sassy and formidable Maura Higgins, as she’s teamed up with Ann Summers to launch the lingerie brand’s latest Christmas collection.

Myles Stephenson is at the centre of drama in the I’m A Celebrity camp following claims he is reported to have made to Jacqueline Jossa about her husband Dan Osborne being unfaithful.

The Sun has claimed the former EastEnders actress threatened to quit the series after the speculation was brought up in an unbroadcasted scene – with the paper reporting that she was allowed to leave a voicemail message for Dan, who returned the call with his own message.

The Rak-Su singer previously dated Love Islander Gabby Allen – who has previously been rumoured to have had a fling with Dan.

Myles and Gabby dated for 11 months before they split amid claims he had been unfaithful, which he has denied.

Then she casually dropped that there will be some news about the much-loved series tomorrow.

Love Island star Greg O’Shea has moved on from his split from Amber Gill and enjoyed a date with his new girlfriend in Paris this week, going public with their romance.

The Irish law student is best known for striking up a romance with Amber in the Love Island villa this summer before allegedly ending their brief relationship by dumping her via text message.

It seems he’s found a new love interest over the past couple of months and appears to now be dating athlete Emma Canning.

Greg’s latest Instagram photo shows him sitting at a dinner table inside a restaurant with the Eiffel Tower and its golden lights in the backdrop just outside the window.

Emma posted a similar photo on her own account, showing part of the Eiffel Tower in the background while posing with a glass of wine.

‘Parisian night,’ Greg captioned the snap, while Emma said next to her photo: ‘Spending my weekends eating good food and making the best memories… so in love with this city.’

It’s believed Emma is based in Paris so has been showing Greg the sights of the world’s most romantic city over the past week. Another photo of the reality TV star shows him walking in front of the Eiffel Tower, this time during the day, while holding an umbrella up.

It’s not known how Emma and Greg met but sources say they’re having fun getting to know each other.

An insider told the Mail Online: ‘Greg and Emma have been dating for a number of weeks now.

Molly Mae Hague has attracted major controversy over her choice of make-up shade, after choosing a foundation more suited to dark skin tones.

But she steered clear of creating any extra drama as she went make-up free for a dinner with her sister.

The Love Island star enjoyed a meal with her older sister Zoe at Tattu restaurant in Manchester, and dressed down for the occasion – albeit in designer threads.

Molly, 20, wore a pair of Gucci printed trousers and a brown mac, while showing off her natural glow by ditching make-up for the night.

The reality star wore her blonde hair in her signature bun, as she left the restaurant on the arm of her sibling – who serves in the British Army’s military medical corp.

The sisters were all smiles as they emerged from their meal, after enjoying some good old fashioned family time.

Molly – who shares an apartment in Manchester with boyfriend Tommy Fury – came under fire last week after a make-up tutorial she uploaded to her YouTube channel went viral, but not for reasons she would have hoped for.

In the ‘everyday make-up’ tutorial, Molly told her subscribers that she was using MAC Studio Fix foundation in shade NC42, saying: ‘I’ve really been enjoying Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk but this is too dark for me so I’m going to be mixing it with my studio fix fluid from MAC which is a holy grail of mine I use it all the time and this is in the shade NC42 which is still very dark.

And fans of the reality star defended her, saying she needed to match her face to her body tan.

Megan Barton Hanson was made an ambassador of Ann Summers’ Pleasure Project thanks to her openness about sexuality and sex.

Top tip – don’t keep Tommy Fury and Molly Mae Hague from their salads.

The Love Island stars have had a bit of a meltdown over an ‘an extremely bad experience in Harrods’, after they were told they couldn’t eat their lunches in the luxury department store.

Earlier this week, Tommy, 20, and Molly, 20, came down from Manchester to London, and stopped off in Harrods’ food hall for their lunch, selecting a halloumi salad and a pasta salad from the bar.

However, the pair ended up eating their salads in the Pret A Manger across the road from the department store after being told they couldn’t eat there – and Tommy lived up to his surname.

In a video uploaded to Molly’s YouTube channel, the boxer flipped about an ‘old lady’ telling them they couldn’t eat in the food hall.

The islander said: ‘Purchased two salads from the salad bowl, salad bar, everything on it, the works. Tables, chairs, people sipping coffee, people looking at the admirations on the wall.

‘Come over, took a seat, ripped the lid straight off my salad, licking the Caesar sauce…

‘This old, old, old, this old lady, very, very old lady I might add, “I’m sorry, but we’re not licensed for you to eat in our shop”. I lost it completely, lost it.’

Explaining he hadn’t eaten since his ‘sloppy porridge’ at 7am, Tommy continued: ‘”You see you, right, in the middle of Harrods, a multi-billion, gazillion, trillion dollar place right, and there’s not one place to eat a salad,” I said, “What’s going on here. Look, you’ve got Bill Gates over there, Mark Zuckerberg over there, and there’s not one place to eat a little bit of salad”. I said, “What’s going on?”‘

Molly-Mae added: ‘The thing that killed me was each salad was £10 each and there was nowhere to eat it.

‘So you pay £10 for a salad but then you have to eat it, like, where?’

The couple’s rant came at 9pm, after Tommy had finished his training in Manchester and they were preparing to hit The Ivy for dinner – so it seems they were really, really annoyed.

Molly has over 600,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, posting videos from her various holidays and business trips and her work with PrettyLittleThing.

But one of her most recent videos caused a bit of outrage, after Molly used a dark foundation to do her make-up – with the shade nowhere near matching her skin tone.

Jack Fowler was rushed to hospital over a health scare, after losing his vision.

The Love Island star revealed the news on his Instagram story and Twitter profile, sharing a photo of himself hooked up to an IV in a hospital bed.

Alongside the picture, the 23-year-old began: ‘Crazy how many have sent me DMs asking if I’m okay as I’ve been absent from IG.

‘Thanks for the check-ups.

‘Here’s an update. Unfortunately, I was rushed to hospital Tuesday morning with severe headaches and lack of vision. I then had a lumbar puncture that showed I had viral meningitis.

‘I was unresponsive for a few days whilst being under morphine and several antibiotics.’

‘But now on the road to recovery,’ he added. ‘Home now and resting up.’

Fans flocked to wish the reality star well, with one replying: ‘Hope you get better soon. Sending lots of love.

‘I’m so sorry! I know you’ll bounce back! There’s no other way for Jack Fowler,’ a follower commented. ‘It’ll be okay in the end, I promise.’

‘Hi Jack so sorry to hear this,’ another said. ‘Really hope you’re on the mend soon Take Care xxx.’

While a Twitter user added: ‘Glad ur on the mend Jack sending hugs hun (sic).’

We totally agree.

Jack came to fame when taking part on last year’s Love Island – and was an instant hit with viewers.

And the former footballer has had a busy few months, after revealing his very first single back in October.

In a chat with the Mirror, he let slip: ‘I’ve just had a track, I’ve just done a single. I’ve been in the studio.

‘There’s no spoilers but I’ve done a track and I’ve done a music video.

‘It’s R&B, kind of slow jam, kind of for the ladies – smooth vibes.’

Love Island’s X Factor: Celebrity supergroup nearly had a feisty fifth member in Olivia Buckland – but she ultimately turned down the part. 

The season two islander confessed that she was lined up for a part alongside Eyal Booker, Wes Nelson, Zara McDermott and Samira Mighty in No Love Lost, in the X Factor series shake-up. 

However, Olivia admitted that she wasn’t confident enough to make it as a singer…and what’s more, she didn’t particularly want it. 

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Olivia said: ‘I was actually asked to audition for the Love Island group. I kind of knew it was happening before it came out, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise to us. 

‘But it was surprising how many talents people have…especially Wes! Who knew he could rap like that? And he did Dancing on Ice and he seriously has too many talents. Seriously, where is he from?’

Ultimately the star, who spoke to us to celebrate the launch of VK’s limited edition candy cane flavour, didn’t think she could put herself in front of Simon Cowell and the judges. 

‘I’m just not confident,’ she told us. ‘I’ve only sung in front of Alex for the first time this year, and I was drunk! 

‘I struggle with the confidence to do it, and I was told about the audition the day before, so I couldn’t psych myself up for it, so it was all just a bit too soon.’ 

Instead, Olivia’s decided to focus her efforts elsewhere, launching her own clothing line alongside husband Alex Bowen. 

She told us: ‘I love fashion way more than I love to sing, so you’ve kind of got to pick your battles. 

‘I’d be lying to myself if I said I wanted to be in a group, because I don’t. It would’ve been cool, but it wouldn’t have been right for me.’ 

While Olivia may not have gone for it herself, the star cheered on the other islanders… while they were in the shows, at least. 

‘I watched [X Factor Celebrity] while No Love Lost was on it, because Eyal is one of our really good friends,’ she said. 

‘I watched it while they were on there, but once they went we kind of stopped watching it. We just loved them. 

‘But Megan McKenna is doing so well, we want her to win to be honest.’

She could well do as well – with the live finale airing tonight.

Megan is one of the last acts standing, with stars including The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, social media twins Max and Harvey, and latin girl group V5.

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague looked comfortably chic as she was spotted out and about in Manchester.

The reality star was in the city to take part in the PrettyLittleThing Black Friday competition, in which a lucky winner got the chance to meet her and a £10,000 cash prize.

As the competition drew to a close, Molly-Mae could be seen leaving The Dakota Hotel, wearing a beige-coloured hoodie and matching puffy coat, as well as a pair of ripped jeans, while she carried a Louis Vuitton handbag.

As well as being stylish, she certainly looked comfortable too.

And Molly couldn’t seem to keep her eyes off her phone either, as she was seen looking down at the screen while walking along the street.

We do wonder what was on her phone that was keeping her so occupied.

She later shared a selfie while wearing the outfit to Instagram, as she promoted PrettyLittleThing’s sale for Black Friday.

‘Me at 8:30 morning trying to look awake,’ she joked.

The appearance comes just after she was spotted going makeup free, as she went out for dinner with her older sister Zoe at Tattu restaurant in Manchester.

And she clearly seems to be a fan of designer labels – as on the outing with her sibling, she sported a pair of Gucci printed trousers complete with a brown mac, while wearing her hair in her signature bun.

Molly previously came under fire last week after she used a foundation several shades darker than her natural skin for a makeup tutorial posted on her YouTube channel.

In the ‘everyday makeup’ tutorial, the 20-year-old told subscribers that she was using MAC Studio Fix foundation in shade NC42, saying: ‘I’ve really been enjoying Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk but this is too dark for me, so I’m going to be mixing it with my studio fix fluid from MAC, which is a holy grail of mine. I use it all the time and this is in the shade NC42 which is still very dark.

‘I often get lots of comments on how my face is too dark.’

However, she sparked fury when fans noticed the difference in her natural skin colour, and the colour she desired to be.

Molly defended her decision to use a dark shade, stating: ‘I go very pale in the winter time and obviously now it’s getting colder, it’s getting wintery, so I’ve gotten quite pale.’

Love Island star Anna Vakili told body-shaming trolls to ‘kiss her fat a**’ in a self-love bikini post.

The reality star has been embracing her figure and has no time for people who attack her online.

Posting a snap of her in a bikini, sitting down and facing away from the camera, the 29-year-old wrote: ‘All the fat shamers can kiss myyy FAT a** stretch marks and all.’

Anna has been on a much-needed holiday to Dubai and posted many snaps of her by the pool, looking amazing as usual.

Before posting to her Insta story, Anna shared a pic of her at Dubai Marina in a black bikini and black sunglasses, captioning it: ‘Life is peachy’ along with a peach emoji (obviously).

She has been exuding body confidence and we love her for it.

Speaking to MailOnline, Anna talked about her figure, saying: ‘I don’t have a vigorous work out regime at all – I need to be stricter really for health reasons.

‘I didn’t work out at all before going on the show. While I was in Majorca during lockdown was the only time I really thought “maybe I should be a bit healthier.”

‘I would have thought that coming out and having cameras in my face would make me want to work out but it hasn’t. I’ve been the opposite actually.’

She added: ‘I still get trolled but I am getting stronger. I filter out bad comments.

‘If I get a DM I read the first few words and if I can tell it’s going to be negative I just block and delete straight away. That’s my way forward.’

With a support system of her sister Mandi – who compared Anna’s ex Jordan Hames to Shrek for hurting her sister – and Love Island besties Amber Gill and Yewande Biala, you wouldn’t be too worried about cruel trolls either.

Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard decided to ditch the facial hair on Sunday night and his girlfriend Maura Higgins was far from happy.

The professional dancer turned reality star has been sporting a rather cool beard of late and it sounds like Maura was a huge fan of Curtis’ more rugged look.

So much so, that when Curtis announced on Instagram that he was about to go clean-shaven once more, Maura announced: ‘It’s a sad day, everybody.’

Curtis explained that he is just about to start rehearsals for panto – he is starring in Dick Whittington over Christmas – and ‘in his head’, he thinks lead character Dick is more of the ‘clean-shaven’ type.

But his little explanation was overshadowed by Maura’s disappointment, as she could hilariously be heard in the background saying: ‘F*** sake. F*** Dick Whittington.’

And her face pretty much said it all when Curtis then resurfaced on his story without any facial hair.

Looking less than impressed, she joked: ‘Where’s Curtis?’

Oh, Maura.

The Irish beauty – who is currently in training for Dancing On Ice – and Curtis first got together in the Love Island villa this summer.

So far, the couple have been going strong back on home soil now the show is over and speaking recently about their romance, Maura admitted that she still gets ‘f***y flutters’ over boyfriend Curtis. 

‘He is [still giving me flutters], 100%,’ she told Heat, before adding that the pair are perfectly happy with where their relationship is at, despite some critics saying they are taking things too slowly.

Curtis pretty much said the same when speaking to Metro.co.uk, as he reiterated that the duo don’t want to let anybody else ‘influence’ their romance.

‘We’re just not letting anybody else influence us,’ he said. ‘Obviously when we came out everyone was like, “You’ve got to make it official”, this and that, “Why aren’t you posting things. We’re just like, “because it’s our relationship.”’

Love Island star Amber Gill needs a little bit of ‘spiritual positivity’ after former boyfriend Greg O’Shea publicly posted about his new girlfriend.

It all started when Greg posted a pic of himself while on a dinner date in Paris.

Despite not tagging his new love interest in his post, fans pieced together he was with athlete Emma Canning, after she posted a photo of herself in the exact same location.

‘Parisian night,’ Greg captioned the snap, while Emma said next to her photo: ‘Spending my weekends eating good food and making the best memories… so in love with this city.’

Then, yesterday, Amber took to Instagram to share a boomerang of a book she’d received.

The 22-year-old winner of Love Island got her hands on a signed copy of Vex King’s Good Vibes, Good Life.

The author wrote: ‘Dear Amber – may you always be a winner and continue to stay blessed.’

Then Amber wrote in her post: ‘So excited to read. Need a bit of spiritual positivity this Sunday.’

Amber and Greg coupled up and then won the latest season of Love Island. They broke up just five weeks after taking home the cash prize of £50,000.

She recently opened up about the split with Greg being a ‘blessing in disguise’.

‘I think in the future I’ll look back on this as a blessing in disguise,’ she said. ‘I can focus on work and spending time with my family and friends.’

Some fans had even called for Greg to be stripped of his share of Love Island’s £50,000 cash prize, but Amber wasn’t fussed.

‘Nah, he can keep it,’ she joked. ‘I needed someone else to win and we won it together.’

Love Island dropped the first trailer for the hotly-anticipated winter series set to launch in January 2020.

The brief 20-second teaser played during an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and was also shared on the ITV2 reality show’s social media channels, sending the internet into a frenzy.

The short clip saw a character looking up at the sky, with a plane flying past in the reflection of the person’s sunglasses.

‘Do one, winter,’ reads a banner attached the jet.

Unsurprisingly, viewers couldn’t handle the exciting announcement and raced to Twitter to alert everyone on the planet.

‘THAT WAS A LOVE ISLAND ADVERT!’ screamed one viewer, as another wrote: ‘Hearing the love island theme tune has got me buzzing.’

The new winter Love Island will take place in the sunny climes of Cape Town, South Africa, with Caroline Flack returning to present the show.

The new series is not without its controversies, however, as former contestant Yewande Biala told Metro.co.uk she’s convinced the new version will actually flop.

‘Because it’s once a year, you can’t miss it, you have to watch it [while] on Twitter,’ she said. ‘Everyone is so hooked because you don’t want to miss that day. Whereas if it’s all the time, you’re like “It doesn’t matter, there’s going to be another one in two months’ time”.’

While it’s yet to be made official, rumour has it the new series will kick off on 8 January. What a way to start the year, eh?
